On January 12, we had an exciting adventure to Tawangmangu. We traveled from Colo Madu to Tawangmangu for almost an hour and a half. We went there with our buddies and coordinator. Our driver is Mas Fian who is also one of our buddies. When we reached Tawangmangu after a long drive, we still walked through hundreds of stairs to get to the falls. While walking, we saw a lot of monkeys. Our coordinator and buddies warned us to secure our things because the monkeys in Tawang Mangu tend to steal things. Some of the monkeys were following us and I became a bit scared but they were good monkeys. They did not bring any harm to us.
After a long tiring walk, I have seen the very beautiful falls of Grojogan Sewu. There were many people there swimming and taking photos. They were really happy and enjoying the beautiful view. We soaked our feet in the water and we also took photos. We also enjoyed the cool soft whooshing sound of the waterfalls very much. After taking photos, it was time to go back and we now climbed hundreds of stairs. We were exhausted when we got back to the car and we were really hungry. On our way home, our buddies made us try the sate kelinci. They said that sate kelinci is from rabbit. I tried it and it was good. I also tried sate ayam and it was very delicious. Our buddies said that sate kelenci is the most famous and favorite food in Tawangmangu.
