On January 14, we had the formal welcoming with the rector and vice rectors of our receiving university which is the Universitas Tunas Pembangunan (UTP).  I and my co-seateachers from Philippines were able to meet the UTP staff and we were also able to tour around the school. The rector of UTP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna Priyana Soemardi, SE., MS., warmly welcomed us to their university. He wished us to enjoy our stay in Solo and also wished us good luck on our teaching practice. He hopes that we get to learn a lot about the people, food, culture, and tradition of Solo, Indonesia. After the welcoming, we received gifts from UTP such as cap, polo shirt, and coat. I was very happy and very excited to start my journey with them!
